Project manager

Samiha Rahman, Project Manager, works closely with the Executive Director in planning, executing, and monitoring the project while also overseeing the responsibilities of executive members. Samiha has been working with Project Amity since its start up in March 2020. Previously, she has volunteered with Toronto Western Hospital providing inpatient support. During her second year at Western University, she was a Resident Advisor at Ontario Hall and a Research Assistant at the Gbric Lab. Currently, she is a fourth-year undergraduate student at The University of Western Ontario in the Bachelor of Medical Sciences program. She is a strong advocate for young caregivers, and a proud member of the Young Carers Program with Hospice Toronto since 2015. Since then, she has appeared on CBC London Good Morning Radio, CBC Toronto Fresh Air, and Hidden: The Voice of Young Carers podcast to raise awareness about young caregivers in Canada. In her spare time, Samiha loves spending time with her friends and family, learning new recipes, and cheering on the Toronto Raptors. One of Samiha’s favourite quotes is from Anne Frank — “No one has ever become poor by giving.”
