founder
Amari, Founder of Project Amity, is responsible for overseeing all facets of the organization. Her love for leadership began in Secondary School as School President for a student body of over 2,000 students. Prior to establishing Project Amity in March of 2020, Amari was a Peer Support Facilitator at RPlaces Transition Centre — a Non-profit Organization that aims to alleviate personal issues surrounding mental health, addiction, and anger management. She is currently a fourth year undergraduate student at The University of Western Ontario in the Bachelor of Medical Sciences program. Amari extends her love for medicine to her job as a Pharmacy Technician at Shoppers Drug Mart. When she isn’t studying or working, you can find her writing poetry in the comfort of her bedroom. Amari is a published poet with the Poetry Institute of Canada, where her poem titled “I Have Seen” can be found in their national anthology titled "Passages of the Heart.” She also enjoys Spoken Word, singing, songwriting, and playing instruments.
